How has your makeup preferences changed over the years? How I do my makeup today

Hello, beauty enthusiasts! Today, I’m taking a trip down memory lane to explore how my makeup preferences have evolved over the years. Join me as I share my makeup journey and reveal my current makeup routine.

Let’s start by reflecting on the past. When I was younger, I was drawn to bold and dramatic looks. Bright eyeshadow colors, thick mascara, and bold lipsticks were my go-to choices. I loved playing with different colors and experimenting with different styles, constantly seeking that perfect look that would make me stand out.

As I’ve matured, my makeup preferences have shifted. I’ve discovered the power of a more natural and effortless aesthetic. I now focus on enhancing my natural features rather than covering them up. I’ve learned that less can often be more, and a simple touch of makeup can have a huge impact.

So, what does my current makeup routine look like? Let me walk you through it:

Base: I start with a good quality moisturizer to keep my skin hydrated. Next, I apply a light-weight foundation or tinted moisturizer to even out my skin tone and give a natural, dewy finish.

Concealer: I use a concealer to address any imperfections or dark circles, but I keep it minimal to achieve a fresh and flawless look.

Eyeshadow: While I still love playing with eyeshadow, I’ve opted for more neutral tones and soft, blended looks. A touch of mascara adds length and definition to my lashes.

Blush: A pop of blush on the apples of my cheeks gives me a healthy, flushed appearance.

Lipstick: I’ve traded in the bold lipsticks for more nudish or MLBB (my lips but better) shades. I prefer a hydrating formula that adds a touch of color and shine.

Brows: Brows have become an essential part of my routine. I use a brow pencil or powder to define and fill in my brows, creating a more polished and framed look.

Setting Spray: To finish off, I spritz a setting spray to lock my makeup in place and give it a long-lasting finish.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned along the way is the importance of good skincare. A healthy and well-nourished skin is the foundation for a great makeup look. I’ve prioritized taking care of my skin by using quality skincare products and adopting a consistent routine.

Another significant change is the emphasis on simplicity. I’ve realized that sometimes, less is indeed more. By focusing on enhancing my natural beauty, I feel more confident and comfortable in my own skin.

Makeup is a form of self-expression, and it’s fascinating to see how our preferences evolve over time. What may have worked for us in the past might not be what we’re drawn to today. It’s all about finding what makes us feel good and confident.

So, whether you’re a makeup minimalist or love to go all out, embrace your unique style and have fun with it!Experiment, try new products, and don’t be afraid to evolve your look as you grow and discover new things about yourself.

Thanks for joining me on this makeup journey. I’d love to hear about your own evolution and current makeup routine. Share your thoughts in the comments below!
